Project Management To successfully change, an organization requires time, planning, and the right resources. Frequently, when organizations commit to new programs or change how they do business, they do not have the necessary resources. Assigning responsibility for the project to an internal leader does not ensure that they have the staff necessary to implement the plan. QED consultants have years of project management experience and expertise in providing administrative support. We are able to assemble a project management team that can assist in project planning and execution in an efficient, cost effective manner.

Our Approach. QED's approach to successfully implementing new programs and organizational change incorporates the following four key elements:
  • Quality. Managing quality in new programs or change initiatives can be achieved only when the purpose and intended outcome of the project is clear. The first step in QED's approach to implementing change is to create a concrete, measurable outcome.
  • Schedule. Planning schedules must incorporate the time required for necessary activities and allow for contingencies so as to maintain the project's critical path. QED is well-versed in project management planning and scheduling tools. More importantly, we go the extra mile to provide the technical and administrative support clients need to meet difficult schedules.
  • Cost. Cost management begins with identifying the potential costs for each task or activity, generating alternatives, and establishing estimates. QED consultants have extensive project management experience which they use to assist clients in accurately estimating and managing labor, material, travel, and outsourcing resources. If necessary, we can help implement cost accounting and tracking systems to ensure that accurate expenses are being recorded.
  • Communications. While change is usually uncomfortable, sometimes it actually threatens people's jobs and careers. Sensitive and accurate communication in these situations can reduce fear of the unknown and help individuals and groups cope with change. A key to success is having a plan to provide the right amount of information so that valid expectations are created and fulfilled. QED assists clients by developing integrated communication strategies as well as providing tools for communicating key messages ranging from simple briefings to interactive web sites.
